"We found Shirley through a realtor rating site, on-line, and she responded to our initial phone call very quickly even though it was during the weekend. The other recommended realtor did not respond until late Monday morning. Our house is very small and is valued at less than half of the average price of homes in King County. Despite this, Shirley treated us as if we were owners of a much more expensive property! She was always there to immediately answer any questions we had. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to hear back from her subsequent to calling her or sending an e-mail. She utilized a comprehensive marketing approach by targeting pretty much all available media. A heavy emphasis was placed on providing high-quality photos that distinguished the property. She has an expensive camera with a nice wide-angle lens and she toook a lot of care in getting the best possible views to include with the listing. Her listing write-up so well done that it even made me want to see the property!
I am a retired real estate appraiser and did a market search and analysis prior to contacting any realtors to list our property. There were very few recent sales of comparable properties in our area so I had to use what was there and make some carefully thought-out adjustments to come up with an estimated value of $195,000. I didn't tell Shirley anything about this when we had our initial contact. I wanted to see what she would come up with in her market analysis. This is unbeleivable but she came up with $195,000, too! That cemented my trust in her abiltity because you really have to know what you are doing in order to make the proper adjustments leading to that value estimte. Also, as a side note, Shirley's mother is a broker in Arizona so Shirley grew up in the real estate business and has seen about every situation that could arise. She has a great background, knowledge base, and experience.
We decided to put the house on the market for $200,000. Because of Shirley's efforts our house sold quickly and for more than the asking price. She has stayed actively engaged in the sales process throughout and we finally signed the closing documents yesterday. Having her available throughout to answer our questions and calm our fears made everything go relatively stress-free for us and we are very happy about that! I am enthused to recommend Shirley as a professional realtor and as a person with high personal standards and tremendous work ethic. There are a lot of relators out there who don't want to work too hard for their clients but Shirley is not one of them!
